Serving the Homeless - Donations Needed on Sunday February 28 and March 7
Christ Church Anglican will again minister to the poor with an outreach event on Saturday March 13 from 10 A.M. - 2:30 P.M. at a local Mesa park where homeless families congregate. We will team up with two other Christian churches to reach out to those in need.
During our times with homeless families, we will pray with them, cook and serve food, sing music, distribute clothes, Bibles and more. Please pray about this event that needs would be met, fellowship enjoyed and lives spiritually transformed.
We will be collecting items to distribute on Sunday, February 28 and Sunday, March 7. Please donate one or all of the following as your resources permit:
- Bottled Water
- New Men's and Women's Socks
- New Men and Women's Underwear
All donated items will be kept in the storage shed behind the Fellowship Hall, so please bring your donations to the North side of the Hall just East of the Church office. Signs will direct you.
I also need 5 or 6 volunteers to attend the event to help set-up, tear down, cook and distrbute food and handout clothing. If you feel moved by the Holy Spirit to be present with us onstie, contact Fr. David Stevens: dstevens@christchurchphoenix.org or Pat Jones: pjones919@aol.com .
