Children / Family Activities

Sunday morning youth gatherings have continued this Easter season with fellowship, music, and our study of the core truths of the Apostle’s Creed.  We are also beginning to discuss one of the implications of what we believe, specifically how our faith applies to issues of global poverty.

We trust that these discussions, in addition to helping us understand how the Christian community lives in the world, are helping to prepare our hearts and minds for our summer ministry trips.

Sunday evenings have been spent in small groups, completing our “bas relief” art project and in detailed preparation for our ministry to the Navajo Nation in June and Uganda in July.

We recently spent a Saturday morning joining with New City Phoenix to help paint a home for a needy family in south Phoenix.  The mission of New City Phoenix is to share Christ’s love through tangible means while advancing racial reconciliation.  We feel privileged to be able to join together with other local ministries throughout the Valley.

In April we were blessed to congratulate six of our young men for receiving the sacrament of Confirmation.  May God’s grace and mercy be upon them and upon all the young people of Christ Church Anglican as we seek to navigate the sometimes treacherous waters of this life.
