Hospitality

Hospitality at Christ Church Anglican encompasses four areas:  Sunday Coffee Hour, Meals That Heal, church events when food is needed, and all-parish social get-togethers.
Sunday Coffee Hour is chaired by Catherine Carter.  There is a sign-up sheet in the Fellowship Hall; 3-4 people are needed each Sunday to bring food, set up, and clean up.  It’s a great way to get to know fellow parishioners, particularly during clean up.  It seems as if there are always volunteers who wander into the kitchen asking “What can I do?”  Many hands make light the work as the saying goes.  To sign up for Coffee Hour, contact Catherine: clcarter10@yahoo.com.
Meals That Heal is an informal group of folks who can be called on to supply a meal on a temporary basis for a family or individual in need after surgery or a hospital stay. The meal can be delivered by the volunteer or left in the freezer at church. If preparing a home cooked meal is not an option, some volunteers provide a restaurant gift certificate or order takeout to meet the need.  The ministry is chaired this year by Marj Pelham.  Please contact her; she is always looking for parishioners to add to her contact list.  marjpelham@cox.net.
Pat Jones heads up the food at one-time church events, such as confirmations, visiting clergy, funerals, clergy installations, etc.  Call Pat if you would like to be assist her with this ministry. Pat is a great cook as well as a fun person, so you might learn some cooking tips and have a good time in the process. There are not too many events of this sort, so this group might be a good way to be involved when your time is limited.  pjones919@aol.com.
All-parish get-togethers are ably chaired by Connie Smith.  We have four social get-togethers a year, one of them being a family picnic.  These are wonderful times to gather and get to know one another over lots of appetizers, scrumptious desserts, and a bit of wine.  Contact Connie if you wish to host or help with one of these events..  crsmithaz@cox.net.
