Our Staff
Bobbie Hawkins, Office Administrator
I was born in Detroit, Michigan where I met and married my High School sweetheart, Ken. We have 3 wonderful (grown) children; Susan, Michael, and Mark, and 5 precious grandchildren. We moved to sunny Arizona in 1971 and never once missed shoveling snow. I was hired by Christ Church Anglican in November 2007 after my job of 12 years was eliminated. Being the Parish Office Administrator is a dream come true for me. In this position, I’m able to use all the physical and spiritual gifts God has given me. It’s truly a joy to come to work everyday and to be part of such a loving, generous, faith-filled community!
- If you are a member of Christ Church Anglican and would like to assist in the parish office, please contact Marj Pelham: office@christchurchphoenix.org to volunteer. Training is provided.
Ministry Purpose and Vision
To administer a church office is to wear various and numerous hats. My hope is that every person I come in contact with (whether in person or by mail/email/phone) will know they are welcome, loved, and cared about by Christ Church Anglican. I offer my service here as a prayer and at the end of each day, I thank God for all the opportunities afforded me through this work.
Hobbies
Gardening, traveling on pilgrimage, giving retreat talks, smiling, hugging, and spending alone time with God

Ryan Taylor, Minister to Families
I grew up in many different regions of the U.S. but have spent most of my adult life in Southern California. I graduated from Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, CA in 1997 (B.A. in Biblical Studies) and married Jill the following year. We served for nearly five years at Forest Home Christian Conference Center in the mountains of Southern California before beginning seminary at Asia Pacific Theological Seminary in Baguio City, Philippines. While there we had the opportunity to develop relationships with brothers and sisters from many countries around the world. We returned to the States to complete seminary at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, FL (graduating in 2008) where I also served as a Chaplain Candidate in the U.S. Air Force. We have three amazing children - Kaden, Ellie, and Ian - and are honored to be able to able to serve the families of Christ Church Anglican.
Ministry Purpose and Vision
My service at Christ Church Anglican involves oversight of all areas of Family Ministry including Children's Ministry, Youth Ministry, and other areas of family life. Jill and I believe that Christ's ministry to children and young people takes place primarily within the context of the family. Therefore, the mission of CCA Family Ministry is to walk alongside parents and families in their journey to grow as faithful disciples of Christ. Addiionally, because God has called us all together as part of a larger family in the Church, all of us can minister to young people and be ministered to by them - seeing Christ in them and even learning from them.
Hobbies
I enjoy reading, biking, exercising, hiking, and exploring new places.

Aaron Petersen, Minister of Music
I was born in northern Minnesota, but spent my childhood growing up in northwest Washington State. My parents, both of whom are musical, instilled within me a love for music and a desire to someday make it my profession. I went to Wheaton College for a degree in Piano Performance. During these years I was introduced to Anglicanism and the British Choral tradition. I finished with a BM degree in piano and went on for further study overseas at the Royal Academy of Music. I graduated with a MMus degree in Choral Direction and Church music. After returning to the States, I spent several years singing professionally with the Rose Ensemble and the Bach Society of Minnesota. In 2008 I moved to Phoenix and joined the music ministry program at Christ Church Anglican. It has been a great joy be here working alongside of God’s people.
Ministry Purpose and Vision
My purpose is to provide musical leadership that displays the beauty of Anglican worship and that draws people in to encounter the Glory of God in Jesus Christ.

Alice M. LaFleur, Organist
I was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and grew up there living with my parents and grandmother. My parents and I sang musical trios and played trios on the piano from the time I was seven or eight. I began studying piano at the age of three, organ at the age of 11 and voice at the age of 13. I sang in the choir of a downtown church starting when I was 11 and started playing the organ for evening services when I was 12. When I was 16 I became the regular organist.
I attended Oberlin College, Butler University with a BM in piano, studied at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria with a certificate in organ playing, and received a Master of Music degree with a major in organ from Boston University. I developed a deep love for church music at an early age and have been directing, playing, singing, etc. ever since. I have been coaching piano, voice and organ for many years and continue to do so. It has been very rewarding to be working at Christ Church Anglican since this past August (2009).
Ministry Purpose and Vision
My purpose is to inspire the people of Christ Church Anglican to want the most beautiful music possible to serve Jesus Christ. I believe we owe him the best we are able to offer.
Hobbies
I enjoy reading, traveling, planning recitals for my students. Being from Indiana, I am a basketball fan.
