Lenten Home Study Groups - Wednesday, February 24 - Wednesday, March 24

The Wednesday Lenten Small Group study will begin on Wednesday, February 24 in the homes of parishioners across the valley. If you have not already signed up for one of these groups, please contact Victor Meijers to do so: vmeijers@cox.net. It is not too late.

We will enjoy fellowship together as we read and study Tim Keller's book, The Prodigal God. This is a great book that has a message for all of us during Lent as we seek ways to let go of earthly desires and empty our hearts to make room for God. Books are available by contacting the church office: 602-955-2040 , or on Sundays in the Fellowship Hall after Liturgy.

There are about a dozen homes throughout the valley that are hosting this time together, so there is sure to be one near you. There are currently more than 65 people signed-up and there is plenty of room for more. Why not join us for these lively discussions?

Serving the Homeless - Donations Needed on Sunday February 28 and March 7

Christ Church Anglican will again minister to the poor with an outreach event  on Saturday March 13 from 10 A.M. - 2:30 P.M. at a local Mesa park where homeless families congregate. We will team up with two other Christian churches to reach out to those in need.

During our times with homeless families, we will pray with them, cook and serve food, sing music, distribute clothes, Bibles and more. Please pray about this event that needs would be met, fellowship enjoyed and lives spiritually transformed.

We will be collecting items to distribute on Sunday, February 28 and Sunday, March 7. Please donate one or all of the following as your resources permit:

  • Bottled Water
  • New Men's and Women's Socks
  • New Men and Women's Underwear

All donated items will be kept in the storage shed behind the Fellowship Hall, so please bring your donations to the North side of the Hall just East of the Church office. Signs will direct you.

I also need 5 or 6 volunteers to attend the event to help set-up, tear down, cook and distrbute food and handout clothing.  If you feel moved by the Holy Spirit to be present with us onstie, contact Fr. David Stevens: dstevens@christchurchphoenix.org or Pat Jones: pjones919@aol.com
